Blue Funk pledges ten percent of our net profits to charities
Many charitable organizations tug at our heartstrings. We begin with the two listed below, The Fistula Foundation helping people in Addis Ababa, and the Summer Search Foundation, for low-income high school students.
Over time, we’ll add other groups that serve low-income individuals and families, through education, healing and housing. Later, we also plan to add our support to non profit alternative media channels to increase access to information, and environmental groups working to save our precious natural resources. With your help, we will continue to identify non-profits that need more assistance to fulfill their missions. Contact us at charities@bluefunkproductions.com.
The Fistula Foundation
www.fistulafoundation.org
The Fistula Foundation in the U.S. helps Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital which has been an oasis for healing for more than three decades. Located in Ethiopia, the Hospital has restored the lives and hopes of more than 25,000 women who would have otherwise perished or suffered lifelong complications brought on by childbirth injuries, specifically obstetric fistula. Today, the hospital provides free fistula repair surgery to approximately 1,200 women every year and cares for 35 long-term patients. For $450, we can help one woman get her life back: surgery, hospital care, a new dress and bus fare to return to her village.
